Potburys of Sidmouth has been serving the Sidmouth community for over 150 years. We now encompass three businesses (retail, removals and auctions) that are all linked by one common denominator – your home.

Retail

From our prominent shop on the High Street in Sidmouth we sell a wide range of beautiful furniture and home accessories. We stock quality traditional and contemporary furniture from several leading brands including: Alstons Upholstery, Ekornes Stressless, David Gundry Upholstery, Ercol, G Plan Upholstery, Harrison Beds, and Myer's Beds.

Our accessories department provides everything you need to put the finishing touches to your home inlcuding bed linen, lighting, pictures, mirrors, cushions and rugs.

We also supply and fit carpets and provide a free nationwide delivery service.

Removals

Our friendly and professional removal team undertake nationwide and local household removals. As members of the British Association of Removers (BAR) we provide the peace of mind that comes from using a reputable, professional and safe remover.

We provide a partial or complete packing service and offer short or long-term storage.

Auctioneers and Valuers

Our well established, regular fortnightly Household and General sales, and quarterly Antique and Collectable sales are held at our purpose built auction rooms in Temple Street, Sidmouth.

We undertake house clearances and prepare valuations for Probate and insurance purposes. We hold a free fortnightly valuation morning for antiques and collectibles.
