Get involved in our collaborative Christmas campaign
Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce is working collaboratively with Sidmouth Town Council, Visit Sidmouth and Connaught at Christmas to promote Sidmouth, its businesses, and events to both local residents and visitors.
All of the above parties felt the importance of supporting local businesses during this period as we appreciate that many are facing challenging times and we are keen to pull together to promote Christmas in Sidmouth through a marketing campaign across Google and social media platforms.
The campaign will promote key events such as Connaught at Christmas, Christmas lights switch on and late-night shopping and we are keen to inform visitors and local residents of the other festive things to do and enjoy throughout the town.

Visit Sidmouth will be creating a dedicated landing page to promote Christmas in Sidmouth and will promote all Christmas and new year activities. Please let Visit Sidmouth know EVERYTHING that they can promote for you.
The Chamber of Commerce supports the Christmas Lights switch-on event, taking place on Saturday 19th November. Golden Tickets are distributed to all primary aged school children in the area by the Chamber of Commerce, to encourage families to come into town. The winner receives a £100 voucher, kindly provided by Gliddons Toy Shop.
Sidmouth’s Late Night Shopping will take place on Friday 2nd December. This year the evening is being supported by Sid Valley Radio, which will be doing an outside broadcast live from the Market Square and will be joined by the La La Choir from 6.30pm. Father Christmas will make his usual appearance. We are encouraging businesses to create their own events/offers to entice people into their shops/businesses on this evening of late night.
