Impact on the new Car Parking Charges

We have been contacted by a number of businesess recently, regarding the new car parking charges that were introduced by EDDC on the 25th April, telling us about the impact that these increased charges are having on trade/business.

The Chamber of Commerce opposed the 100% price hike, as soon as we became aware, and made representation to EDDC at cabinet meetings along with organising an petition, Sadly to no avail. However EDDC did say they would review the car parking charges later in the year following the summer period based upon the usual financial monitoring.
