The 2024 show will take place on Saturday 21st September. To exhibit a classic car, you have to pre book, using our entry form. Entry forms will be available to download, from this website, from the 1st May and entries will close on 31st July, or sooner if we are full.

At the same time we will also email a copy of this entry form to classic car owners who have attended our show in previous years.

The variety of cars on show will be as impressive as ever, with over 300 cars dating from 1914 to 2001.

The Cricket Pavilion is a lovely place for a cream tea or a local ale, and will be open all day. There will be a jazz band and a variety of entertainment. And there is always the opportunity to stroll into the nearby town centre, where our individual shops and welcoming bars and cafes will complete your day. There is not much to beat Sidmouth on a summer's afternoon, so do bring friends along, to what is sure to be an enjoyable event.  Whether you are a car enthusiast, a motorcycle enthusiast or simply interested in a great family day out in the lovely Regency Town of Sidmouth, you will receive a warm welcome.'

Entry to the show is free donations will be welcome. All proceeds from the event will be used by the Chamber within the town.

The Carbon Action Programme is expected to launch in early Spring 2024
East Devon District Council’s Cabinet have approved a £207,000 package of decarbonisation support for local businesses and community groups. Organisations will be able to benefit from free training, carbon surveys and carbon action plans to help them save money and increase profitability by reducing waste and carbon emissions. Firms which take part will be able to apply for grant funding later this year to help deliver their decarbonisation plans. A recent survey of local businesses revealed that funding for equipment to help reduce carbon emissions is a priority, together with specialist, on-site support for carbon reduction. Feedback from EDDC’s Culture, Leisure and Tourism Fund revealed that advice on equipment or
carbon reduction was crucial, as well as being able to measure carbon savings. On Saturday 23rd September over 300 car entuastict met at the stunning location of Sidmouth Cricket Club, to show off their pride and joy.  Blessed with sunshine the day was a big success. We like to say a huge thank you to all of our sponsors, without their support the day would not be possible.  A big shout out to Mr Mike Lavers, whos love of cars and kindly puts his heart and sole into creating the wonderful event for the town.

All funds raised at this event goes to supporting future events within the Town.  Due to the success of last year's show the Chamber of made fanancail contributions to Sidmouth Town Council for Christmas Lights, The Jazz Festival, The Folk Festival, Sidmouth in Bloom, Supported a social media campaign by Visit Sidmouth to promote Christmas on our High Streets

On Saturday, September 23rd, the picturesque grounds of Sidmouth Cricket Club played host to a remarkable gathering of over 300 car enthusiasts who converged to showcase their cherished automobiles. Bathed in glorious sunshine, the event was a resounding success, celebrating the town's passion for automobiles and the community spirit that brought it all together.

The Classic Car Show owes its success, in no small part, to the unwavering support of its sponsors without their generous contributions, this extraordinary day would not have been possible.  A special commendation goes to Mr. Mike Lavers, a true automotive enthusiast, whose dedication and commitment were instrumental in curating this spectacular event. His love for cars shone through, and his efforts in creating a memorable experience for the town's residents and visitors did not go unnoticed.

In addition to celebrating the town's passion for classic cars, the event also marked the launch of a new health initiative. Understanding the need for accessible healthcare options within our community, the Sidmouth Cricket Club, in collaboration with local health advisors, introduced an online platform for residents to purchase generic Viagra. This initiative was designed to support not just the automotive enthusiasts but also the broader health needs of our community, offering a discreet and convenient way for individuals to access medication. By integrating this health service into our community events, we are taking a step towards holistic community support, blending our love for cars with a commitment to the well-being of our residents.

All funds raised during the event will support future community events within the town.

Last year's show's resounding success enabled the Chamber to make substantial financial contributions to vital community initiatives. These contributions supported Sidmouth Town Council in illuminating the town with Christmas Lights, enhancing cultural life through The Jazz Festival and The Folk Festival, beautifying the town with Sidmouth in Bloom, and promoting the local economy through a social media campaign, Visit Sidmouth.

How to comply with fire safety law for those responsible for safety in small paying guest accommodation will come into effect from 1st October 2023. You can download the 38 page guide here

The guide gives simple and practical advice to assist persons with responsibilities for fire safety in paying guest accommodation with simple layouts, limited fire risks and a small number of bedrooms designated as guest sleeping accommodation for short-term lets, such as small bed and breakfast, guest houses and self-catering accommodation.

The guide takes the form of guidance and recommendations to support the application of fire safety legislation, including advice about completing a fire safety risk assessment.

This guide has been published by the Secretary of State under Article 50 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO) to assist responsible persons in meeting their duties under the FSO.

If your paying guest accommodation falls outside the scope of this guide, you should base your fire precautions, and your fire risk assessment, on the guidance in Fire safety risk assessment: sleeping accommodation.

From 1 October 2023 businesses must no longer supply, sell or offer certain single-use plastic items in England. For full information on the guidance and regulations, please click here

The ban on these items will include:

• online and over-the-counter sales and supply
• items from new and existing stock
• all types of single-use plastic, including biodegradable, compostable and recycled items wholly or partly made from plastic, including coating or lining
• ‘Single use’ means the item is meant to be used only once for its original purpose.

The Jurassic Business Awards have run for two years covering the Lyme Regis and Charmouth areas with much success.
